To be understanding is more important than to be right. Sometimes, all a person needs is not a brilliant mind that speaks, but a patient heart that listens.

I think we all speak a different kind of language
than each other, but you sound a whole lot like coffee on a
Sunday morning and the rain is falling bitter against the windowpane
and your elbows are making holes in the countertops, and
I only want to tell you that I wish I was as close as the threads of your
t-shirt, and if I can’t be that, then I’ll be content with
drinking my drink beside you, with the rain sloppy open mouth kissing
the roof, trying to dismantle the etymology of a conversation
that falls out of the realm of words.

All The [Good] Things.

The Fringe Festival last night was great - went with a new friend, fun shows, and local brews on Granville Island.

Tonight my housemate and I hit up IKEA which is ALWAYS a huge success (and pretty much makes my day!) and afterwards we headed out to a bar called The Marquis with some other new friends. Met some really cool people from Vancouver, and took advantage of the G&T special ;)

In other great news - I got a job today! Had an interview and got a call 10 minutes after I left. First shift is on Monday!

..So many things to be thankful for.

First Night on the [New] Town:

Vancouver Fringe Festival.

IT BETTER BE FUNNY.

I’m down for some laughs after my somewhat traumatic first day of class.. As in, alarm failed to go off and wake me at the set time. Showed up hot, messy and frazzled. Not the best first impression eh?

Never-the-less I made some friends and we are heading out tonight to check out the Fringe Festival on Granville Island.

As long as I can navigate the foreign transit systems and get myself there.
